I am planning to go to Paris from Adelaide with my FF points.

Looking at the Qantas FF bookings the trip from Adelaide goes like this

Adelaide to Perth to Singapore to London to Paris. The main airline for this trip is BA.

If there a way of reducing the number of stops? and am I missing something?

It will be appreciated if I can get some help on this.

Qantas have a daily codeshare flight with Air France from Singapore direct to Paris (QF3977), this is about your only option I can think of for reducing the number of stops (by one) if you want to stay with Qantas.

You can avoid Perth (or MEL or SYD) by flying directly from ADL-SIN on QF81. It departs 3 times weekly on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Depending on how many points you have, you could call the service centre about getting CX flights on points. There is a convenient HKG - CDG flight that leaves HK quite late at night, and arrives in Paris first thing in the morning.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Thanks for that.

No I am not too fussed about not travelling with Qantas.

I have heard about the code share with Air France but how am I able to book this flight. I am assuming that I'll have to ring Qantas since I can't see it on the Qantas booking website.

You may have to call the QF service centre regarding the Air France codeshare flight. They may also be able to provide better alternate routings and it may cost you the 2,500 FF point award booking fee.

I know in the past some codeshares did appear on the QF award booking engine. eg South African Airways JNB-PER codeshare flight.

I recently did a trip from SYD to CDG via HKG with CX. Very good flight (although full) but left HKG quite late at night 11pm. However, CX are great at connections so if you dont want to stop in HKG (I love HKG) then you can connect straight on.
