Hi all, flying to London in December for the first time as a WP. QF9, so QF metal all the way, but coming back we wanted an afternoon departure so code share with Emirates. All in discount economy sadly.

couple of questions for those who've done this more than I have!

1. Is there an arrivals lounge in Heathrow?
2. I understand there is some sort of fast track for Heathrow immigration?
3. Flying out of Heathrow on EK but with a QF flight number, what and which lounge access am I entitled to as WP, and importantly, how many guests and does a small child count as a guest? (On the way over there are two of us. On the way back there will be three adults and one three year old, and I am the only one with status).

thanks :)

There is an AA arrivals lounge in LHR T3 and you'll be able to use the EK lounge on the return leg. Sorry I'm not sure about how many people you can bring along. I presume 1 guest as a minimum.

1. Yes when arriving on QF metal but you will not be entitled to use it (status does not get you in).
2. Yes, and security as well for the outbound. Inbound you should receive fast track cards, outbound you just show your QF WP card.
3. The EK lounge only, no others. Inbound to LHR you'll be fine at MEL QF F and DXB EK F. Outbound from LHR you will only be able to guest 1 adult + up to 2 children. Same applies with DXB EK F. For reference, the WP entitlement is 1 adult + 2 children up to 17 years old (children do not count towards guest entitlement). For SG the child counts as the entitlement as such only 1 child and no adult guests.

thanks Ms1 andmadrooster for the info. Bad news on the only one adult guest and no arrivals lounge access. I wonder what our chances are of getting an extra guest in. Is the EK lounge at Heathrow any good?
