Hi everyone,

I'm flying with my SO to Mexico today, unfortunately I booked in Y but I woke up today regretting it.

Since this is a last minute decision, what are the chances of upgrading to PE or J either via points or cash? If at all possible...

I'm a new Gold status and haven't done any upgrades before...

Thanks,

I think you have to do it 24+ hours beforehand. So I think you'll be out of luck. From memory 45k each person each way for the upgrade to the next level.

Thanks,

You need to be on a Flexi fare as well

Call the Velocity desk, all hands should be on deck today, and you will actually get someone from the gold desk who shouod be able to assist you with any available options.

If you could let us know how you got on...Nothing worse than waking up in the morning, having a stretch and realising that will not be possible to do in your next sleep phase :-)

No luck... I have to do it at least 24hrs in advance.

Cattle class, here I go....

Hang in there, and let us know how it went. Glad I'm not doing it.
It's really not so bad. I have done it. Once :P

I did upgrade my return from Y to W but it was $1200 including the change fee (ie, a full fare re-issue, not a paid-at-check-in upgrade).

VA's Y product on the 777 isn't actually bad, I just have an aversion to anything less than W these days.
