Hi All,

I am a QF platinum member (just achieved!!) and will be flying BNE-AKL quite a bit of the next year or so.

I KNOW that we are allowed to use both the QF lounge and EK lounge in both BNE and AKL when flying on QF Business as a QF Platinum. Also it is no secret that the EK lounges at both locations are miles ahead of the QF (first??) lounges especially in terms of food.

However, my question is when flying on QF, how do the emirates staff react when you try and use their lounge? I don't want to go through the embarassment of trying to explain why I would rather use their lounge? DO they just take you in or ask weird questions etc?

Anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks in Advance

They just take a copy of your boarding pass, not an issue. Keep in mind the distance in BNE to the EK lounge and both locations are open for limited hours.

I've used the EK lounges in SIN and SYD when travelling on QF, and they haven't been able to scan the boarding pass on their computer system.

Instead, they've either photocopied the boarding pass or have manually written down the passenger and flight details... no questions asked – in fact, when chatting with the staff, they seemed pleased that I wanted to have a look at their lounges!

Long story short, I wouldn't get too worried!

Enjoy the Veuve ;)
