Been a while since I've been up the pointy end. But I saw there was a last minute (T-72) availability in J, so I pulled the trigger.

Any tips and hints for how to get the most out of my flight? I have a 3.5 hour stop over, so I should be awake and ready to enjoy the lounge.

Can't offer anything re: QR. But we found lots to do in and around the old town in Warsaw. Also caught a bus out to the Wilanov Palace to the south of the city. And check and see if the free weekend Chopin concerts are scheduled for the Lazienski Krowleski park - this was a highlight for us, and a great place to wander as well. We used the buses quite a lot to get around.

There are two J lounges at DOH now - the old Al Mourjan and the new one on the C concourse with 'the Garden' both worth exploring. Take the train or there. You might know that there are two sets of showers in the old lounge. The first ones directly across from the entrance and the other ones at the far left hand corner through the restaurant, which are good to access if the others have a long queue. but queueing might not be an issue any more with the new lounge.

If the flight has Q suites, I’d recommend getting a rear facing seat which has the seat by the window, and not by the aisle, so a little quieter. If its an A380, then make sure you take some time to enjoy the bar - it’s really good.

Their dine on demand is really that. You are free to order anything on the menu at any time in any order. And they should tell you how long it will take to prepare.
