Has anyone had the please of flying Air Asia premium to KL lately? Is this a good service or should I stick with Qantas knowing the service will be okay?

a review of their economy, not premium:

Airline review: AirAsia X economy class

but that said, they came ahead compared to review of QF economy (Airline review: Qantas economy class), other than paid food/IFE (but i'm guessing that is free with AAX as premium? plus it greater chance they'd ensure it was actually working if you're going to be paying for it, as opposed to the 'free' ( but broken ) touchscreen on QF :/), so you should be fine.
