Bit unclear what the new 7K card refers to in the context of FB/VA Explore Gold offer.

If you had 55 SC and 2~ when the ExGold started you do need to get full 80SC in the 3 month window, your 55 are wiped.

Your short sectors will only earn 5 SC if booked on the cheapest fare, so a few more may be required (unless you've booked hier fare buckets).

7K was the credit limit.

Company books into the fare class that earns 15 SC for a SYD MEL flight. 3 return flights should get me 90SCs.

Hi there. I applied for a Coles Mastercard on their "Promo4" offer (incl Explore Gold with Velocity) and got the credit card on 9th August. I would have expected the Explore Gold by the end of August but my Velocity login still says I have "Red" status. How many more weeks can I expect to wait? I have just received my first statement for the card in the mail.

Times frames are mentioned in the ts and c's .have you received your 20 k bonus flybuys ?
If you need the upgrade urgently you can contact flybuys through here to push it through with velocity as they did with me .

Actually I had about 69 credits when I was upgraded only some got deleted and about 26 were left . Do you know what's the deal with that ?
Also on my explorer review date if I get more than 80 credits will they all get deleted ? And will I have to start earning again for maintenance of gold for the next year ?

Think it is a max of 4 weeks after credit of bonus .

If u don't need it urgently u may want to delay start of the 80 sc earning period to match your spend and travel pattern .

No they don't. I asked the question in the original Flybuys/Velocity partnership thread back in October 2016 (specifically with regards to Coles Gift Mastercards) and the Flybuys rep confirmed that the purchase of ALL gift cards at Coles is excluded from the monthly total spend for SC earn.

Unfortunately yes, you will have 12 months from the renewal date to reach 400. They are not lost per se, you actually saved 350 SC that were not required for the 500 necessary to reach normal gold. But, in one respect the 70 "extra" credits count for nothing.

Following on from this. I have accumulated over 900 SCs whilst on Explore Gold (being reviewed currently). Will I loose them once I move to full Gold or will they count towards qualification to Platinum?

You won't lose them. Anything within last 12 months would count for Platinum Qualification.

I had similar issue where my 400SCs counted towards Platinum. Once you get full Gold, you would see the count down to Platinum ....

I received the explore gold offer email with the PROMO4 code, but I'm already VA SG, so I signed Mrs. deva22 up through the link (we are part of the same flybuys household).
I've read reports of this working, but can't find them now? Anyways, she received the 20K bonus points yesterday, so I'm thinking that I now need to wait up to 4 weeks to see the explore gold status hit.
If it doesn't, do I have a leg to stand on in terms of asking for it to be instated?

This was how I managed to receive explore gold. My father received the offer however I signed up for it using the link provided within the email. In our household it is my velocity account which all the SC pool into from the flybuys spend. My status did not change within the four weeks so I messaged flybuys and it was rectified within 3 days. Good luck and hopefully your partner gets their explore gold

Applied for my Coles Mastercard the Friday 11th of August, card arrived the following Thursday, first spend next day. The flybuys points landed exactly two weeks later. Explorer gold exactly another two weeks after that. My wife recieved the explore gold offer, not me. So we followed the trick outlined earlier in this thread of using my details but her flybuys number for the CC application, and linked the flybuys account to my Velocity account. Perfect timing as we're off on an overseas family holiday in a week and will certainly attain full Gold. Thanks for all the tips previously posted.

Anyone know if they randomly give out the explore gold offer to existing platinum coles mastercard holders? I signed up and got approved without knowing about these promos so never got 20k flybuys points of the gold status. Ive had the card for around 2 months now and pushed through ~$12k on it and the only card offers I get are things like spend $1030 by a certain date to earn a bonus 1000 points. Was going to email them and inquire (never know, might get lucky) but they don't seem to have an email option as a point of contact. Spewing as I'm flying economy within 2 months to Europe and South Africa but then business on return via Cape Town including family pooling so the trip will likely get me at least Gold but I really wanted lounge access for the start of the trip :-(

I hit Platinum 5 weeks into my Explore Gold window. I discovered that you need to call up to have them manually tick you over to Platinum from Explore Gold. That got me thinking though... since it's not automated, you could delay or time you manual request to Platinum to your advantage for your travel circumstances (within the three month Explore Gold window).

I just got explore Gold via the Coles/Flybuys offer. the date was 8th Sept, exactly 3 weeks after the 20000 pts were posted. So 1 week early.
I have also retained 5 SC, so I only need to accrue 75 more.

No idea why. had 239 SC prior to the upgrade, my only SC earnings for 9 months has been Coles shops, and 31st Aug I earned 2.

Just wanted to throw this idea out and see if anyone know if it'll work. I have will have Explorer gold by October and will have a flight to meet the 80SC. However because I want to extend my Explorer gold a bit longer I would only claim my missing trip two or three weeks later. Is this possible?

Hey nightelves, not sure if this is the same situation, but I tried something similar.

I had flight before I got the explore gold. So didn't put my ff details on the ticket, and instead did the claim missing points after I got the explore gold. Hoping the status credits would be credited explore gold. No go though. The credits are back dated to the date they are earned.

Not actually a problem for me as I have a couple other flights next month which will get me there.
