Hi all,
notified this morning that my flight from Southampton to Jersey on 18 June at 10am has been cancelled, and they have put us on 2pm flight.
This is too late in the day (fly back same day at 8pm) so I am after the 7am flight instead.
Intend to call them tonight (when they open UK time)

How far can I push to make sure I get the 7am flight? Any correct lingo I should use?

The email offers refunds for flights more than 2 hours outside original flight, but I need to go that day.

FYI can't change days, as leaving on Queen Victoria cruise next day.

What are the respective prices on the 7am/ 2pm.
Are there any other alternate carriers.

Would just call and say that you would prefer the earlier flight.

no difference with price for outbound 47.92 pounds each.
Blue Islands is the other carrier, they have a flight at 8:30am, for 52 pounds, so worst case I can fly Blue Island over and keep my Flybe return.
(assuming they will cancel only the outbound flight)
Otherwise to fly all Blue Islands out & inbound is double the price of what I have paid.

I got the impression from a recent schedule change email (for a 5 minute change) that they would let you change flights if the schedule change was greater than 2 hours.
