Just booked some flight Per-Mel -Syd return and got asked about flying carbon neutral.
Normally just skip over this, but when i saw this strip will produce "663 KG of CO2".

Is that just me or the whole aircraft......

According to the Sightline Institute, based on Boeing 747 emissions and the average occupancy of USA flights, every 2,062 miles (3318km) (perth to sydney is just under 4000km) traveled accounts for 1 ton of CO2 emissions per person.

So 300g per km. which means that is under by about 35% but different plane type maybe?

I normally pay the few dollars for this. The amount is trivial and whether it does any good or not doesn't really bother me. It's more of a statement than anything else.
