Great deal for those who want to save money on shopping!

"Air Asia has just launched a sale fare of A$320 (one way) to London from Kuala Lumpur. Connection flights to Kuala Lumpur from Perth ($99 one way), Melbourne ($149 one way) and Gold Coast ($199 one way) are also on sale.

Valid for travel from 1 August - 30 November 2010."

One way its not a bad saving but doubled for a return and add the extras and its not so hot, factor in the complete lack of care when things go wrong and frankly its not cheap at all! Most people dont realise that schedule changes are not covered by travel insurance, and LCCs do make a lot of them.

Thank you Markis
I have already booked a flight from Kuala Lumpa to London Stansted before I joined frequentflyer and would have reconsidered using Airasia if I had read your comments about Airasia schedule changes and lack of insurance cover earlier this month..
I am traveling as part of my annual holidays and fortunately I am not on a tight schedule, and I have taken advantage of jetstar cheap flights to Darwin for two days stopover and another flight with jetstar on to Singapore for another two days break .
I am also using Airasia for the flight from Singapore to Kuala Lumpa for another short stopover holiday which cost $1 for the flight plus airport tax! and since they're are about eight Airasia flights a day on that route I hope to stand a good chance of getting to Kl that afternoon.
I do agree with you that similar value is to be found on certain direct flights if a promotion is taken advantage of , I have noticed that the return to Australia from Heathrow direct to Sydney with Cathy Pacific is 480 pounds ( about A$790) which is comparable with my out bound odyssey .
I will report back on the joys of Airasia after my holiday in August.
