Fly ahead - ex Perth

I often make use of the fly ahead benefit with VA when travelling between Sydney. Melbourne and Brisbane where there is usually plenty of flight options. I recall they will fly you early within 2 hours of your original departure.

What is the deal in Perth?

The flights are about 4 hours apart. I've got the 16:00 back to Sydney tomorrow and I can get t the airport for the 10:45 am flight. Has anyone experienced being flown ahead that early ex Perth? I could also try my luck with the 11:30 via MEL which would still get me home before 20:00 rather than 22:10.

Thanks smit0847 - it worked a treat. I called ahead and Andrew in the lounge told me there was 50 seats left. I jumped on over and got moved in a flash. I now can get home tonight for dinner with the kids.
