Flights over Lake Eyre

it's been on my bucket list to fly over Lake Eyre and I think this might be the year to do it. It seems there are two companies

Lake Eyre & William Creek Flight - Wrights Air, Wilpena Pound & Flinders Ranges Flights and Lake Eyre Flights via Wilpena Pound - Bush Pilots Australia

I like the idea of leaving from Hawker because it's not such a long drive. Has anyone done any of these flights and have any comments on either company

I did a flight over Lake Eyre a few years back when it flooded. Went with Dick Lang out of ADL: Outback Adventures - Australia and PNG - Dick Langs Bush Pilots

We went up to Birdsville for an overnight stop, visited the B&W Dig Tree etc,. It was great.

Don’t try to count the pelicans...

PS. I would say this is most definitely the year to do it. IMO, don’t wait - it may be a long time before it happens again.

I did a flight in 2012 with Wrights so things may have changed in that time. I posted about it in a Trip Report here A few flights & a 5,000km Outback Adventure from Adelaide to Darwin
Was a highlight of our trip & it certainly was worth the extra to take the longer option. Agree with JohnM, do it while the conditions are right

Thanks for the feedback. I think I'll get onto it Monday and just do it - I just received some money from a close friend who died unexpectedly earlier this year which makes you realise you just never know what's around the corner so I need to make the most of it
