Hello fellow AFFers

My wife's QFF membership year ended 1st Jan and in the last week of December we did a number of trips in MH J and QF Y.
She would have had just enough SC's to be retained for Platinum for another year, however the MH flights and the QF flight came through on the 1st Jan & 2nd Jan.

Normal QFF behavior would be that the SC's would be posted as per flight date, but there appears to be a system glitch that has posted them against the new period, and hence now my wife has reverted to Gold despite having earned enough SC's to retain it.

Called QFF and they are looking into it and will fix it. Bit annoying and they say it will take a while to fix so meantime my wife is stuck at Gold...

Check your accounts to make sure this issue hasn't happened to your accounts either!

:(

When did your wife's account drop back to Gold? QF usually has that 4 or 5-day period after a membership year to allow stray SCs to work their way into an account, although that wouldn't have resolved this situation if the flights didn't post with the correct flight date.

She dropped back yesterday (4th), and just to clarify the flights posted with the correct flight dates, but were not backdated into last years period, ie there is usually an asterix type symbol that denotes flights posted to a prior period, in my wife's case that is not there, and her current new year is at 250SC's when it should only be 50SC's since 1st Jan.

That's really interesting past 2 prior years I have had flights that credited after the year roll and they have either added or subtracted them and adjusted my status. However these were either all QF metal or QF numbered flights. I suspect this may be your issue. If you still have the boarding passes I would copy/ send them to QF, highlight the dates and that should get it fixed.

As i mentioned above, flight dates in my qff activity list are correct so that's not the problem.
It's with the IT team to fix now.

Just to clarify they were dated correctly but posted AFTER my year rolled and SC's were removed. My balance was amended to account for those that should or should not have been for the current year.
