flight to eur with a break in asia

I'm flying to Eur from Oz (Frankfurt) - how can I have a short break in or Amsterdam and a long break in Asia (hoping to travel in Vietnam for a couple of weeks) on the way back!?

Doable!? what are my odds of booking for July/August!?

another quick question to the pros - how long can the layover be - a week, two!?

have a read of the successful bookings thread. there is no limit on the time for the stopover (within the normal ticketing limits). So it can be longer than the time at the destination.

You will need to have the stopover at a *Alliance hub though. (BKK, SIN) for SE asia.
