Hi everyone,

Does anyone know the logic used to price the Y seats ??? There's a 80% difference between red e and flexi fare on qantas.

Seems a very large jump to just double SC points.

Also just being a tight@$(&

Cheers
Andrew

Paying for flexability, able to refund your fare for no charge and other better fare conditions..
If every MEL-SYD seat was sold at $99 each, airlines wouldn't be around anymore.

Yes agree QFCSA.

Also Business people need flexibility and will pay for that.

Last minute buying will always be dearer. There is nothing more perishable than an airline seat!!

The sales algorithms in the airline business are very complex and rely on the principles supply and demand.
