Hi folks, I was just wondering if there was a website or app that lets me find alternative routes or shows who flies into/out of cities. e.g. if I'm trying to fly from Perth to Rio De Janeiro, the most main routes coming up on Skyscanner would be to fly to Sydney, then Santiago, then Rio or Perth - Doha - Sao Paolo - Rio.

I'm just trying to find other not so obvious routes that I could possibly take by figuring who flies into Rio, then sort of back tracking in hopes of finding budget carriers that could break up the trip and save long fly times.

Sorry if it doesn't make too much sense, I'm trying to plan a big South American trip, ending somewhere in the US.

What about Google Flights?
I think that's where I looked when I wanted to find out which carriers flew into St Maarten

These will give you most of the options (but probably weak on LCCs) , but a multiscreen display would be handy:

Star Alliance airlines route map :

One World airlines route map.

SkyTeam route map.

Etihad map.

Emirates map.

...and if anyone finds all these, or even 2 or 3 on the one map, I'll buy it!

If you use google to search "flights from BNE to CNS", for example, then you can see all the full schedule of airlines on that route. One of the results also then allows you to select "See all flights from BNE" and it shows you all destinations from that airport.

Another option is to use ITA Matrix (another Google product) which shows various options/routings for flights between destinations and flight cost as well.

Cheers guys, flight mapper seems to be my best bet at the moment. Will definitely make planning the trip easier.
