Briefly discussed at the Brisbane Drinks, between Bundy Bear and myself, was a game you can get on your iPhone/iPod touch called Flight Control.

In short, you assume the role of an air traffic controller landing light planes to the yellow runway, jet planes to the red runway and helicopters to the blue helipad. Due to the screen being 2-D there's no height consideration to work out, but if the airlines get too close to each other (ie. touch), the game ends and you have to start again. You've obviously crashed.

You may have heard of this game, if not, you just have. It's cheap as chips, even a student like myself can afford it, and it's thoroughly addictive.

What's your high score? (Please post a screenshot as proof).

It would help if I had an iPhone or iPod Touch - and I have neither! :p

I'd of thought there'd be more iPhone/iPod touch users, but oh well.

I don't think I'd ever be able to hit 117, and I'm sure there's a lot higher by the guys that designed it.

I just grabbed this whilst in the QF lounge - might give it a go on the flight to SYD...

This sounds great, however no iPhone!
Getting really sick of Golf on my 6500... :(

My total is 67: no I won't post an image as Sam can verify it. If I beat 69 then I will post an image.

Its a great game and a nice way to use up battery life.

I know I might be preaching to the converted but.....I was already in an unhealthy relationship with my iPhone..this will make it worse.

Ok I beat it: I had an hour to kill on the Melbourne J Lounge on Saturday.

Wow, I might have to start playing it a lot more again. There must of been a lot of planes on the screen when you finally crashed.

I have no Iphone but I'm planning to buy one. Heard lot of satisfied users. They truly enjoying the various applications.

Forgot to check here after the forum crash. I can't remember what the new top score was, but it's over 100.

The tips have also gone, but the tip to send planes down the runway for a 180-degree turn at the end was a really good one.

There are some new airstrips available if you update this game via the Appstore.

Now includes an aircraft carier and some seaplanes.

A screen shot is attached.

Dragging this back up, a recent update to the app brought in Royal Flying Doctor Service planes that occasionally appear and have a set flight path that you must avoid.

Finally had good luck and managed to score 148.
