Hello,

This question may have been asked previously but I couldn't find any answer.

I often make late minutes flight changes at the cost of $50 plus whatever difference in airfare (usually still work out cheaper than fully flex).

However, my question is "if I upgrade to business with points, would this allow me to make changes free of charge, or would the original condition of the first fare booked would apply?

My other question is for Qantas: Why not allow the use of point for flight changing fees? This would be a great! :D

Technically, the conditions of the original fare class prevail, but being friendly to the lounge dragon may produce more favourable results if you get them on a good day and there are J (U) reward seats available IME.

I would be booking flexi-savers if you're a changer, some of them are pretty reasonable and the lounge dragon tends to change you no questions asked.

Changing with points - a good idea, but we haven't seen any true enhancements like that in a while. ;)
