Hi,

I have booked EK F, SYD to CDG for next year using my Qantas points. My Qantas E-ticket has my first name, middle initial then last name. When I checked the Emirates website, my middle initial has been added to the end of my first name.

eg. Johnb Smith

I'm a little concerned that as this doesn't match my passport exactly, there may be a problem. I rang Emirates and they said they never look at middle names, just the first and last name. But as my first name now has an extra letter, will it still be ok?

Has anyone else had this issue? Can I get the tickets reissued by Qantas without my middle initial. Or am I worrying over nothing.

Thanks in advance.

Scott.

Won’t be an issue. This happens with various airlines sometimes. Unless there was a more drastic change, such as getting your surname and first name mixed up, you’ll be fine.
