Here I am, yet another Sunday night in the lounge, and SOMEONE IS SITTING IN MY SEAT!!

It occurred to me that this could be a first world problem.

Do you have similar first world problems?

Sydney QF J lounge, the only seat with a power point, perfect view of the bar and flight status board, privacy divider and furthest distance from any TV in the lounge. If you can work it out from that, you have earned the right to sit there!

You'd certainly get the votes of a lot of travellers selecting an airline lounge seat that is furthest from a blaring or visually intrusive television. I try to sit as far away from that as possible.

Look at half the posts here.......someone is sitting my shadow seat:shock: there is a crying baby 5 rows back  or one of my favourites, babies shouldn't be allowed in business at all.

I know the exact seat you are talking about! ;)

But since I am such a nice bloke I won't take the seat away from you. :p

I'm almost willing to make an exception for a TV in a lounge as it does give you something to do whilst waiting, with a few proviso's,

1. It's facing a corner so the only people who can see it are those who actually want to see it
2. It's volume is at a level where those who are in the TV viewing corner can easily hear it, but no one else in the lounge can.

The thing I hate is TV's going up on every single empty wall in pubs (although I'm happy for 1 large TV sitting in a corner which can be used to show major sporting events), and I especially hate it in restaurants (very tacky and very distracting). I'm almost at the stage that if I plan to eat at a restaurant and I see a TV mounted on the wall I'll leave again.

I am delighted to announce that tonight I have secured my rightful seat. Ahh, it feels so good!

you have found your spot!!!

Are you a Big Bang Theory Fan,

You sound a bit like Sheldon Cooper!!!

Bugger! Someone is sitting in my seat again!

The culprit is wearing a horizontally striped shirt (ugh!) and looks kind of dorky. Is that you Andy?

While I was in a lounge, I was in the HKG F lounge... so if you see him again, feel free to kick him off. :)
