Hello,

I am planning my first trip to Australia by SQ for MAA-SYD-MAA via transit at SIN - inbound and outbound.

1. Transit duration: There is a transit of 1hr 10 mins at SIN (MAA-SYD). As I am travelling with two kids - 7 yr & 6 months old baby, I want to know if this transit duration is enough and what I should do when I get down at SIN as a precaution?

2. Online booking: Is it okay to make an online booking on SQ website or get the tickets through a travel agent? What are the pros and cons?

3. Bassinet: I guess I have to call local SQ office to get the bassinet as online booking says!

Your thoughts and tips are much appreciated for a first timer!

Hi Sidug

1) i have done a 55 min connection on SQ at SIN and it wasn't a problem, just make sure you check which gate to go to once you get off. Ask for help if you need it from ground staff.

2) i always book online as TAs seem to be more expensive. For simple trips it is the way to go. For complex trips with multiple stops on multiple airlines, TAs can be worthwhile.

3) yes, make sure you request a bassinet. They are not guaranteed. I did a trip with a one year old to Europe and only had a bassinet on one out of 4 legs. It was hell!!
