Just started looking to book an around the world qantas ff. Can't see any business class seats at all. Is that the norm?

No, they’re out there but can be fickle.

What status do you have with QFF? That affects a lot of what is visible on actual QF metal (ie QF operated flights). Not so much partner award seats (putting aside QATAR that withholds seats).

Also, how many seats are you looking for? 1x is going to be a lot easier than 4x (which is virtually impossible).

A war m welcome @mfj . If you don't have status with QFF then you will need to look at Partner airlines so if wnt to fly out of Australia on an award you need to look at flights to Japan, Hong kong or even at the moment the USA.
However many on here will get a cheap flight to places like Jakarta or Manilla and then the awards tend to be easier to get. Search all OW partners.

Actually the opposite. Plenty of QF Biz reward flights from Oz to Jakarta, Manila and Hong Kong and then cheap paid flights from there.

But they’re also good options for starting/finishing a OW RTW reward booking.

Note that this is not exclusively a "Round The World" Award. While it can be so used, it can also be used for "Round Trips", "Circle" Trips or even "one-way trips" without actually going "Round The World".

Also note the following from the T&C review that comes up on Qantas.com if you have successfully selected flights and reach the Review "Check" page:

A oneworld® Reward contains:

• a Qantas flight and at least two other oneworld® carrier flights, or
• if there is no Qantas flight, two other oneworld® carrier flights.

...
