First time using KF system, Waitlisted flights and changing flights

Hey guys,

First time using KF points redemption and flying J. I booked a return flight from sydney to bangkok via changi. On my return leg i also waitlisted on a later flight which suits the transit time better from bkk to changi. I just got told my waitlisted flight is available, so how do i change the flights over, can i do it online or do i have to call them up? does it realise i also have a booked flight and just swaps over the points from the booked flight to the waitlisted flight?

Going through google search and finding some sites that talk about waitlist, none seem to say how to approve a waitlist flight and have it overwrite your currently booked flight (both via points).

This one is tricky because you booked return flights. I suggest calling up to get it changed.
Normally what will happen is you book a normal ticket as a one way ticket and if your wait list gets approved, you simply cancel the ticket you don't want.
