When travelling international, a platinum member can take 2 guests into the Qantas Lounge and can take 1 guest into the First Lounge and under the T&Cs from the Qantas website I can also take 2 children (or more if space allows) into the Lounge. Does the 2 children policy also count for the First Lounge? So if my family is flying overseas via/from Melbourne or Sydney can I take my wife and two children into the First Lounge if my status is platinum?

The simple answer is yes :D And im sure that you would make sure the kids behaved wouldnt you :D :D :D

Thanks Ansett, but it isn't my kids that have behavioural issues but rather ME! :-)

LOL well lets hope they make you behave then lol :D

I'll be in DXB in January with my parents. Does anyone know if I can guest my two parents in DXB F Lounge?

I guested my 2 parents into DXB FLounge in June but suspect this can be luck of the draw. If there had been an issue I would have let them both in and I would have wandered around and kept myself busy.

Thanks mate; sounds like it is the case of only 1 guest is allowed unless the rule is not strictly enforced?

Love taking the kids into the Flounge - they make me look good!

I will be taking my infant to SYD QF F lounge in about 12 days early in the morning. I have been told by others that he has a good set of lungs. I hope none of you are around in case you get all annoyed!

If you want to take a little bit of privacy with junior you could always ring and ask to reserve one of the meeting room suites.

Hi Princess Fiona, thank you for your suggestion, even though I am tempted not to do this so that I can experience the QF F lounge in full for the first time, rather than getting locked down in a meeting room suites!

The suites are actually pretty nice with glass fronts, ideal for families. The full menu is served in them.
Totally understand if you want to be out in the main lounge for a first experience.
We generally reserve one going with the kids even now they are older and come and go from it as we please.

I thinks the good Princess is subtly suggesting you could consider others before yourself but I could be wrong :p

:oops  Not at all I'm afraid, I was just thinking back to what it was like having the mini-me's in the Lounge and being all stressed out that they would misbehave.
Stress free is the way to go every time
