First flight to arrive in 2014 in Oz

Flight VA1464 from DRW to MEL, the timetabled 1815 hours that departed 13 minutes early appears to be the first regular public transport (passenger) flight to land at a major Australian airport in 2014, with its 10 minutes late forecast arrival of 0009 AEDT on 1 January 2014.

The orange cancer's JQ971 from PER to MEL, running three minutes early at a suggested arrival of 0022 after a 27 minute late departure at 1817 WST looks to be second.

The first passenger flight to depart a major Oz airport in 2014 appeared to be TG462, operated by B772 HS-TJS and which departed MEL 10 minutes early at 0020 for a predicted arrival of 0458 same day in BKK, 42 minutes early.

I'm heading off to the airport in just over 3 hrs time. No use sleeping now even though I just got home from my Place of Employment!
