Does anyone know why Fiji Airways haven't released award seats in any class from Vancouver to Nadi 353 days ahead on Qantas classic rewards . Last date I can see is 17th June . 353 days from today is 30th June .

I can see a sprinkling of J seats on 22, 26 and 29 June using the multi-city search but no whY (if that’s what you’re after?).

I’ve been tracking FJ award seats recently and they’re pretty good releasing seats to LAX and then alternating days to YVR and SFO (neither are daily) but there’s been quite hit and miss availability getting back from Nth America.

Although, looking back on earlier days - seems to be good whY availability. No idea if there’s a blackout window or if they’ll get released later…

I am after J seats from Vancouver , I cant see any J or Y after 17th June , even using the the multi city tool ? I appreciate they only go 3 times a week .

Ah thanks , I have been searching for 2 seats . Least I know they are releasing 353 days ahead , just need to be quicker maybe !
Yep, you need to be online exactly midnight UTC and pounce. Those FJ seats get snapped up quickly.

As I alluded to above, a Plan B ex SFO or LAX on FJ is less assured. They just don’t seem to be released at all.

As above, there’s good availability on PR but they’re more points and your are going a lot more out of your way travel time.

Note: PR seats get released ahead of 353 days. So you’ve got that dilemma to take those or wait.

Are those flights on 350 or 330? I”m on a cash business FJ trip and the Nadi to Vancouver segment is on 330. It’s quite a poor experience. The food shouldn’t even been offered in economy and the seat is just a recliner.

The Melbourne to Nadi leg was a new plane and was ok. Hopefully a year from now the schedule is for a new plane.

Yep -- I can manage getting SYD-LAX/SFO like clockwork 1-2x per year (and booked June 2027 a few weeks ago), but absolutely nothing the opposite direction and it's been that way for over a year. Very curious.

HNL-SYD (on QF) is a “day flight” and is pretty reliable for CRs in PE (and whY) outside of school hols but if heading back from mainland US, that probably means an o/n in HNL.

There’s decent QF J seat availability SYD-HNL but not back.

FJ has J CRs HNL-NAN but it’s a B737 “red eye”.

Seats.aero also indicates 361 days for PR (and 353 days for FJ). Use the multi-city booking engine to get to the relevant date.

The regular search can get there now also.

Neither will let you enter an initial search date greater than 353 days out but once the results are displayed, you can step forward on the regular search, or get the calendar view on the MC search.

I can only get to 360 days using the regular search (i.e. one week from 353 days). For 361 days, only the multi-city booking engine works.

Yes, you’re right. Might be a timing thing looking at the other anomaly:
