Hi there,
I need to go to Siem Reap, Cambodia in August to teach for a few months. I looked on the QANTAS website a month or so ago and Siem Reap was available as a destination. After numerous calls I gave up as they said it was a Jetstar connection through singapore and to contact jetstar, then jetstar said contact Qantas...customer service or what...

Anyway, now Siem Reap doesn't come up at all on the FF list. Qantas used to be linked with Vietnam air (i think/0 who flys there but now doesn't appear to be...

So...
How do i use Qantas FF points to get from Sydney to Siem Reap.....(and back)

It's always a challenge getting QF redemptions for classic awards on Jetstar Asia.

If you want to use points only, the only option I can see is on one booking redeem pts to/from Singapore. Then make a separate booking - using "Anyseat" Awards for the Jetstar Asia flight to Siem Reap - if you put Singapore as your origin, it will allow Siem Reap as a destination. Many would advise that such an anyseat award is a poor use of points (in terms of points required to replace $ spent), but that is a personal decision depending on your own circumstances.

Three other options, all involving in buying some fares:
1) Award booking on QF or BA to Singapore, then buy a fare (on Jetstar Asia or Silkair) from there to Siem Reap
2) Award booking on QF or BA to Bangkok, then buy a fare (on Bangkok Airways) from there to Siem Reap
3) Award booking using Cathay Pacific/Dragonair to Phnom Penh then get a domestic flight or take a bus from there to Siem Reap.

I did this recently. Award tickets SYD-BKK then purchased return BKK-REP-BKK on PG. The cost of the very short 22 minute flight is fairly high, but then again PG is very good. From memory it was $350 return.

Probably cheaper ex SIN on 3K or TR (not sure if they fly there or not?)
