Need to fly this route in just over a month. DJ is about $50 cheaper than QF so am considering trying out Virgin Australia in its new branding - will there have been much difference made to the aircraft/service?

Hey, the aircraft are still be refitted with new seats etc so the chances of a newly fitted aircraft in a month is low, however, you will experience great Virgin service and if you are on a flexi economy fare, or a premium economy fare you will receive food and beverage included.

For $50 difference you really can't loose, but the rebrand is not complete as you could understand it takes a little while to change a whole fleet.

You may wish to purchase a single entry lounge pass with the $50 saving and try out the new MEL Lounge. I haven't been in it yet, but from all reports it's pretty impressive!

Which you should do before the end of this month! The price goes from $30 to $55
