For me a quaffer is a wine I am happy to leave.

That is, something I would cook with, or god forbid tip down the drain knowing it was cheap and I enjoyed the first couple of glasses.

My regular quaffer is Wynns Coonawarra White Label Shiraz. Price varies a bit at DM's from $12 up to $17.50. When the price is at the peak, I'll go to Annies Lane Shiraz and Wyndham Estate Bin 555 Shiraz or the Wynns Coonawarra Cab Sav Merlot or the Red Knot Cab Sav. Usually these are circa $15 or less.

Sounds similar to my list! Haven't been drinking much Wynns lately, as the price has been at the high end of the range.

Great when you get Annie's Lane for $7 or $8 a bottle!

Recently have been drinking Metala White label Shiraz Cab for $10 a bottle. And Red Knot Shiraz for around the same amount.

The Wynns CSM is a good drop.

Got some beaut 2012 Hanwood Cab Sav on line from First Choice @ $7. Lubberly Jubbly.

I also am partial to the Hardys Stamp Range for quaffers. 1 litre bottles of Cab Sav, Shiraz, Merlot, Sem. Sauv.Blanc, Chardonnay. Got some for $6.

I purchase bit of vino from 1st Choice, spend $150 and it is free delivery, even down the Far South Coast, here in 3 days.:p

The more you drink the more you save. Works for me.
