I’m at SIN this evening. Tried the Fatty’s chicken spring rolls at the F lounge:




Fatty’s nuclear chicken is only available at the J lounge, so I wandered over there as well. It’s one of the a la carte dishes you can order at the food counter, along with the laksa. Sadly, they told me the nuclear chicken will only be on the menu this month and will be gone in August. That’s a shame, because it’s delicious!

Does one really want “nuclear” just prior to spending over 7 hours trapped in a metal tube where so many others trapped in the same metal tube are subjected to the after-affects?

Nuclear chicken at Fattys is actually quite mild IMO.
For instance, It never did clear my sinuses

Basically it is claypot curry with lots of coconut milk. Very Singaporean/southern Chinese and there are other Claypot curry chicken restaurants all over Singapore.

I suspect the lounge nuclear chicken is further dialled down to cater for the fragile stomachs of premium customers.

The trick is to eat more. Gut training = resilience.

Multiple staff members in the Singapore lounge warned me that the nuclear chicken was spicy. I didn't find it particularly so.

Sadly, they told me the nuclear chicken will only be on the menu this month and will be gone in August.

It's back on the menu until March!

It was called nuclear chicken because of the colour, not because of the spice.
