Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

Perhaps - but the meaning of famous I have is: Widely known; esteemed; celebrated; famed; far-famed; illustrious; notable; noted; renowned, and finally - known!
a legend in (one's) own lunchtime

A person who affects or believes that they are of greater importance or notoriety than is actually the case. A humorous, ironic twist on the phrase "a legend in one's own lifetime."

Maybe if they are notable for bad reasons, the word would be notorious 😇
The old meaning of notorious is "... of note", so it covers both.

Ok, enough of the who's who in the zoo talk.
Back to posting about in/famous or otherwise folks we have encountered in our travels!

I bumped into JessicaTam once :)

I was flying back home from India in 2018 on Srilankan airline, at Delhi airport lounge I got approached by a Srilankan airline official who very politely asked if I could change my seat and get the seat in the second row and I said that was fine with me.
Upon boarding I noticed several big guys (buffed) came onboard and then came the then Srilankan prime minister Ranil Wickremesinghe who took my seat and one of those big guys who was his security guards sat next to me.
Once we arrived in Colombo I was the first one to leave the plane and noticed all the personnel from the army, navy and police lining up on both sides of the aero bridge all the way into the arrival hall. I was quite shocked and giggling to myself and most of those guys were also probably a bit surprised at my presence and obviously not expecting me :)

I'm surprised it wasn't a hanging offence for anyone to disembark ahead of the PM.

It was a couple of years ago but I lined up at Heathrow next to, then sat behind Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe of the Petshop Boys, flying to Helsinki for a gig. I was flying on to Tokyo.

That said I knew Chris’ face reasonably well as he used to live round the corner from me in Clerkenwell, London, and I’d pass him in the street every now and again.
