Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

Geoffrey eddelston and his fibreglass fiancée on QF93 today.

I've never seen QF staff swoon and make such a fuss before.

We were unceremoniously shoved out of the way at F checkin and again at the lounge. Poor form QF

By them or by airport staff? I'm sure Mum would say something like "if he can afford first class tickets then he can afford to pay his creditors".

Obviously Geoffrey still has been declared bankrupt if he can still leave the country.

They fall into the same group as KASHdashiens... why people are interested in them has me stumped. No real skills

I'd rate the Kardashians higher than that. I don't believe they owe millions to creditors nor hire hitmen to deal with former clients or in Geoffrey's case former patients.

Wow didn't know that ..... sheltered in WA .... comment modified ... I hate the Kardashians, melbourne housewives ... they would be one of the first to go in the revolution.

Well as I wander into the Sydney IC on a Sunday, as you do, I am recognised and approached by an almost famous AFF'er.
I have been lucky to have chatted with gem gem ( who has attended recent Ozfests in Adelaide and Darwin ) and family member Katie283 in the scenic Club Lounge. Small world. John.

At least the KASHdashiens are not deregistered medical practitioners or have done jail time for perverting the course of justice.
Reflects badly on anyone who fawns over him IMHO.

While waiting in the QF F Lounge at SYD for our delayed QF 127 a couple of weeks back, Joel and Benji Madden were escorted in and set up in one if the private rooms. They quickly emerged and sat amongst the rest of the lounge guests. What a polite and easy going pair they appear to be.

By the QF F staff.

Was quite rude actually given that we are in F too.

I guess they DYKWIA ;)

From those who enjoyed The Guren Transfer/Planet on the ABC, Dan Gregory (one of the panel members) was on QF551 from BNE to SYD this evening. He was in 4D and I was in 4F. As an aside, someone who doesn't travel that often took 4E judging by her surprise when I pulled out my tray table from my armrest.

I didn't recognise him at first until the crew greeted him and than it clicked.

Just saw Rod Stewart in MCO while waiting for AA205, I think he came from ORD or DFW. Hardly had any entourage. However an older lady in front of me started having hot flushes. It seems the man still has it!

I work with a bunch of "older ladies", they have hot flushes all the time and I'm not flattering myself that it's anything to do with me... :D

When I say "hot flushes" feel free to substitute with "throw thier underwear" I'll give Rod one thing, his hair and coughroaches are the only things that can survive a nuclear blast.

Colleague travelled upstairs on QF108 which arrived late on Nov 25. Sat next to member of One direction. Didnt realise until landing.
Didn't Bill Bailey describe them as like 5 blank scrabble pieces: whichever way you put them, they're not worth anything!

On recent flight from LAX to JFK, had Stephen Moore of Wallabies fame with missus and new bub in tow. Bub didn't make a peep the whole flight... until landing time. Poor thing...

When you compare them to other superstars that teenagers drool over these days, like Paris Hilton, the Kardashans, Justin Bieber etc., I think One Direction is the pick of the bunch. None of the boys seem to have gone through the druggy phase or the sex scandal or anything like that. If I had a daughter I'd much prefer her to respect this band then Bieber.

My 7 yo daughter would love to sit next to any of the One Direction lads - and I'd be happy as that would keep her occupied for hours. I have to agree - fame hasn't yet spoiled them.

Why don't you ask cove about that......... I'm sure he has an interesting story to tell!

In a continued run of celeb spotting. Russell Crowe in 1k on QF12 today. There was another Aussie actor with him whose name I don't know.
