None other than captain De crespigny paxing in civvies on QF400 this morning. Even though it was a 767 I've never felt safer :)

Former WA Democrats Senator and now commissioner for child abuse Royal Commission, Andrew Murray in the Melbourne Chairmans Lounge yesterday.

There should be a T-shirt:

"I was in the Chairmans' Lounge
... and the most famous person i saw was Andrew Murray"

Sat in Row 3 with Kerry O'Brien, TV Journalist for the ABC, on today's VA 527 OOL-SYD via. BNE (True talk - Wing flap some issues, looped around OOL for awhile, before they gave up trying to fix it and diverted to BNE, where the runway was long enough to land safely with one bung up wing - Here's our 2nd sector, as shown on FlightAware. Shortest flight I shall ever take me thinks on a B738)

He was in 3A for the initial flight, but must of just taken his assigned seat in 3C on our short flight back down... Someone in J told him they expected a report on ABC about the flight tomorrow. A few other pax recognised him as they all boarded, even one of the kids next to me in Row 3 recognised him... The parents sat in A/B, kids in E/F, I was in D. No wonder I couldn't get anything better than 4F before T-48, families sitting all around me.

Fun times all around - Think I made him laugh when I complained to the kids when the announced the diversion to BNE. They said it would suit me better, me living in Brisbane, them back in Gold Coast. Expect my car was at OOL... Glad we got the flight, and not a bus back.

Ran into Kevin Rudd in Lufthansa First Class Lounge in Frankfurt. Not the terminal as we were transiting to a flight to Naples.

Rob Palmer from better homes and gardens in J class VA from Perth to Sydney, was a lovely chap, got a photo with him and the cabin crew, was a great flight.

I'd consider him probably famous in the aviation world, I met the blogger of One Mile at a Time, Ben Schalppig at the Seattle-Tacoma Airport once.

Keith Urban yesterday QF974 BNE - TSV and again just now QF967 TSV - BNE. Yesterday 1F today 2F. Currently in CL waiting for connection to SYD. This morning he asked for pea soup but settled on spinach omelet with goats cheese and salmon. No grog. We did have a brief chat, found him very pleasant.
