So here is the scenario:

I am not pooling SC.

I take a flight on the 10th.

I change my pool recipient on the 12th.

The points are credited on the 14th.

Who gets the points? Do they go to my account or the new recipient's account?

My understanding is that they will go to you! But I have never tested this to see what actually happens :)

It goes on activity date, not processing date.

They will go to whoever you were pooling to on the day the flight occurred.

Also be careful around when you make the change vs when pooling comes into effect. I've been caught out by this by making a pooling change late and missing the window for the pool to work as I was hoping.

Another one that has bit me big time - you only get to make 5 pooling changes in a year and I've run into this just before an international trip that killed a whole pooling strategy for managing status. Was really painful for that year in terms of frustration factor of having wasted a whole bunch of international SC.. and nothing VA could do for me unfortunately.

I'd probably really prefer a pool limit of 10 changes a year if there has to be a limit..

It would go to you, as flyer.
But you would need min 5000 VFF points to then transfer the points to another family member.
If you had put in receipient details before the flight, the points would go to the receipient.
My parents (mum pools her FB points and SC to her VFF account), then it comes to me, as they don't fly that much anymore, but she does a lot of Coles shopping.
I fly VA so the flying part of points and SC comes to me, but the Coles (FB points and SC), go to her first, then to me.
Best to put in receipient details before a flight, now you have to collect 5000 VFF and then transfer that to your nominated family member.
Edit: hmm, haven't tried the "trick", but Jedi_sith, have you done it, or is the OP a what if "presupposition"?
Granted as I mentioned, I have not done it, but would have thought you needed to do it prior to flight to take effect, then take flight and then points go to your receipient, or if after flight, the points and SC would go to you first as flyer, then when you have 5000 VFF points and SC, it then goes to your nominated receipient.
