Surprised to get a survey email from Fairmont 2 days ago about a probable upgrade to their Gold floors.
Included things like 24 hour lounge access, snacks availabe at all times even in your room fridge-still complimentary and possibly things like a VOIP phone or local sim card for the length of stay.
It has only appeared on FT 4 hours ago.As I only stayed at the 3 Fairmont hotels in the Canadian Rockies in 2013 I am surprised that I seem to be one of the first to get this.
You did get asked how much extra you would be prepared to pay for these benefits.Certainly sounds good.

I got it too, spent some time over Christmas at the Chateau Le Frontenac in Quebec City and The Queen Elizabeth in Montreal.

Yeah, got it a few days ago. Looked like a long survey with nothing offered, so I wasn't going to work for free.
