EY 460 and 454 (AUH to Mel and Syd) switched to the 777 many months ago but is always late, everyday its 1-2hrs late. Anyone know why these flights can never make it into Australia ontime? Its been like this since at least last year and the logical move would be permanently push the departures times back an hour considering they sit on the ground for 4/5 hours here?

The On Time Performance for these flights is practically 0%.

Connections? Shortage of Aircraft? ATC?

Id be careful booking these flights if you have a last flight of the day domestic connection with Virgin.

I suspect it's AUH and all the work being done. Something of a case of "let's make a big airline", and a little voice says "what about the airport", big voice replies "worry about that later"

The whole existing infrastructure in AUH airport is complete cough. What a joke they are still veneering the 1970s facade on the terminal..
Last departure I had from AUH was from the freight terminal.. A less than conducive luxurious experience after a rather hot tarmac transit & stairs to the aircraft., as well as a typical 1.5 usual delay.for the AUH/SIN/BNE run
