I have a old Express Card from a few years back. Would they still work fine or have the cards changed in recent times?

Pretty sure they are the same, and I'd also add that those who collect them probably wouldn't know the difference anyway.

I've found the inbounds to be completely useless on my recent arrivals into SYD T1 - it's a bloody zoo.

I'm thankful I'm going the long way around to MEL instead and will clear customs and immigration there.

I have been made aware that my original post in this thread has caused considerable discomfort to a fellow AFF member - for this I unreservedly apologise. My original post was totally in jest and there was never an intention to upset anybody.

I have requested Admin / mods to close or withdraw this thread - I am sure they will make the correct decision on this matter as they do on all matters here on AFF.

Indeed I will also be taking steps to ensure that I never cause any further discomfort to any AFF member in the future.

Again I unreservedly apologise for any pain or discomfort I have inflicted to any AFF member.

Seems to me that a new thread is required, based on a new victim; and what penalty / sanction do they rightfully deserve?

Do you still have any of these express cards available? I'll be taking my family overseas in July for our last big holiday, as my eldest child starts high school next year. So I can get my 3 young boys and travel nervous wife through Melbourne customs smoothly on a Saturday night, I thought these might help.

So if you have 5 available, myself and my family would be grateful. Not sure if it matters, but we have Virgin Australia tickets, flying Etihad. Never used an express card, so only assuming it gets you into the short queues in customs and passport control.

Just so you know you can use one card for all 5 if travelling together. And yes, short queue for security and immigration.
 
My self imposed sanction of '96 hour suspension' for causing hurt and discomfort to fellow AFFers by way of my original fabulously crafted and extremely hilarious post has been served and time to continue with the Express Card distribution.

YES tdpali I do have more cards and you are more than welcome to a couple - but you still need to earn them - so chose one of the below:
1. YES AFF should welcome humour and light hearted banter between members.
2. NO AFF should be totally serious and humour / jokes should be totally banned.
3. Cruiser Elite is about as funny as a burnt out orphanage and should post serious content only.

Again I apologise to anybody who was offended by my original post - Admin / Mods have reviewed the thread and are happy to remove any content that any member may be offended by. Please contact them directly to arrange same.

Obviously, the sane mans answer is that Yes, we need as much good humour and light hearted banter as possible. It's the only way it gets me through a Sunday afternoon while watching my once might Blues struggle in the AFL against Brisbane. Dark game with bad skills and dark clouds over my house, while my wife is out using my credit card on her Mother's Day celebrations.

So I use this as a small outlet to smile in our small world.
