I have just realisted that I have a credit from a cancelled domestic flight last year, expiring in a few days!
Of course I should have used it before but I kept overlooking it and just booking as normal!.

The credit is for $300 and is an online one where you can book online for single or return.

Looking at the rules it implies it finishes on the date, and Qantas staff seem to agree.

However on the website it seems like its going to let me book a new flight later than this date.

Will this work, will I end up having trouble with booking?

Any ideas,

Brian.

I've never had any experience with Qantas credit, however I have had credit from Virgin Blue before (due to flight cancellation) and I had to use it within 1 year of the original booking, but I definitely flew after that 1-year deadline (so the booking was before the deadline cut-off, but actual flight was afterward).

If the website allows you to make a booking, then take that booking and it really is their fault if they deny you flying.

my 2 cents :)

bjbrian,

I have only had something like this once and I believe the one year refers to the voucher and that so long as the booking was made then all was OK BUT I am not sure.

Try making a booking as you have nothing to lose.

You need to have traveled by the expiry date and you cannot book and fly same day:

"Your new booking must be for travel anywhere on the Qantas network within 12 months of the date that the original ticket was issued. However, you cannot re-book and travel on the same day"

I have a voucher for $35 that I have no intention of using given it will mean the airfare is dearer than what can be purchased online.
