can any of you experts explain why expertflyer will show seat map for f & j for hkg-lhr 9/5/07 qf 29 but not y. it has been showing y up until recent. just curious.
thanks

Once the Y cabin has reached the preset limit for pre-allocations, no further seat allocations are available to non-status FF members. So the QF GDS blocks access to the seat map at that point. This is common for flights that are reasonably full and close to departure date.

drats, here I was hoping for a miracle and a light load, one can only hope but hope no more do i. thanks

What date are you looking at?

E/F returns a seat map for WHY QF29 5th September 2007.

Given E/F shows availability for this flight as:

F3 A3 J9 C9 D9 I6 B9 H9 K9 M0 R0 L0 V0 S0 N0 Q0 O0 X0 E0

I would say it's close to being full in WHY in any case.

I can for j and f but not y.

NM explained it; the pre allocation limit has been reached for Economy class and so the seating map is closed and cannot be viewed from EF

Apologies, my query was MEL-HKG.

Any yes, there is not seat map available - reasons as per NM's post.
