This doesn't seem to be marketed very well. But essentially you earn 6 points per $1 (vs 2 points per $1) when you book using their mobile app.

Book By: 31Dec.,2016
Travel By: 30Mar.,2017

https://www.expedia.com.au/app

You can redeem about 3,500 points for $25 credit to your next stay. You can also tie it in with VIP hotels to get up to $50 per 3,500.

Also I must note when ever you find your cheapest hotel price, book through Expedia and they will give you the price difference plus a $50 goodwill coupon. I just scored $150 by submitting 3 forms for their price match, plus I got the cheapest price, plus I got 6 points per $1.
