Hi folks,

I am travelling from Sydney to Ireland (via 2 weeks in USA) within the next week.

I have some baggage that I don't want or need to bring with me to USA and would like to have forwarded to Ireland.

I would be interested to hear from anyone who has ever used any excess luggage forwarding companies, and if they had any recommendations or advice on which one to go with.

Many thanks,
John

I did this when I move to the UK 12 years ago. The thing to keep in mind is (at least in the UK) you will need to clear it through customs which is a long winded process. It took us about 4 hours. I think we used a company called 'Excess Baggage', but given how long ago we did it, I would seek other recommendations.

Without knowing the contents and volume, have you considered posting it. I do this all the time when away and sending things back to Sydney.

Matt
