Really impressed with how VA platinum members
Had boarded but was stuck at gate for 40 mins before it was declared unserviceable
Whilst others herded at the gate waiting to be told what to do, I went to another gate which was boarding to same destination. Asked to be put on it but was told it had already closed. Then I dropped my platinum status, a smile appeared on her face, one phone call later and a lot of keystrokes, and magic, boarding pass for said flight appeared.
Hate to imagine where the rest of the pax on the original flight are, but I was glad to get out of Syd immediately.
Good to see the staff going extra mile for status. Am generally finding VA excellent at going above and beyond for high status FF.
