Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

Just noticed today that i had a Bupa 5x points on all fruit and veg offer. Only been with Bupa a few weeks, so assuming these offerscome up from time to time for those with linked accounts.
I have never got these to ever credit. Been with Bupa for over a year. Raised a query but they seemed lost on the thing. Same nonsense with the insurance bonuses that never credited on the other thread, third parties are always terrible with these offers.

Mine always credit. My BUPA account has been linked for over 4 years.

Credited ok for me today (see below) but im still waiting on the 100k sign-up bonus (but i have to wait 45 days for that before i can follow-up).

Received an interesting but plain looking offer, the first one in some time that isn't an underwhelming and uninspiring 10x points for dishwasher tablets or 350 points for $35 of freezer products or 3x points on a shop type:

Minimum spend is $0.98c. (yep - 98 cents). Long promo period. Hopefully a sign of things to turn the corner.

Has your card been inactive for some time?

800 points for $130 spend. Given my four week $65 spend offer, I'm definitely not going for double.
I just don't get the logic.
Also in week two of a four week $90.
No spend last week, but triggered the first in the advance weekend with a $120 spend.
Last week I had a spend ~150 I think for 2000 points. I ignored this, and didn't scan my card at checkout for a ~$200 spend, split between an E gift card (in my edr app) and my credit card.
This week my single week offer is up to $170 with a reduced 1000 point reward.
I am becoming more and more convinced that payment method, or maybe the edr gift card wallet feature, is being used to link spend to an account.

The true test will be - we had to buy some nappies this week for a family member with a newborn. We did not scan our actual Woolworths card. If baby items start appearing in my targeted offers - something is definitely going on with payment methods.

That will be an interesting test case. Mind you, Woolies offer me bonuses on baby products and I've never purchased anything of the like from them.

This is a known thing. If you ever use your EDR card with a non-cash payment method i.e. credit or debit card or a saved gift voucher in your edr app wallet, then yes they create an association between those and your EDR membership. So they know its you whether you scan your rewards card or not unless its cash. They just arent nice enough to auto-give you any points if you dont swipe your card.

After not activating the ridiculous spend $220/week for 4 weeks offer for 18k points, this week Ive been offered 1100 points for $190 spend. Still not going to happen, so wont activate.

Because of Mothers Day lunch hosting I do need to buy extra ingredients for BBQ and baking but still unlikely to get above $150 so hopefully the spend will continue to drop. They know my usual spend is $90-110 range.

I was under the impression there was a promise not to do this, but I wonder if by recently using my credit card in the edr app to purchase a gift card, I have allowed a link to form.

Last week I had an offer of 300 points for a $10 spend on pantry items. I did not buy any pantry items.
This week I got an offer of 100 points for $10 spend on pantry items, weird offers.
