It’s not that exceptional.

This slot machine operates with a network jackpot (a bit like Keno in Aus) and Nevada has a lot of slot machines.

Just luck of the draw it happened at the airport. It could have happened at the gas station, in a strip casino, in a rural highway stop…

3 million might have been won at the airport but I guarantee many more millions have been lost.
