Got a mail this morning from BR stating they (EVA Air) will suspend the route Taipei to Sydney v.v. from Mar. 26, 2006. If you're holding a ticket for after this date, you should contact the BR office.

Qantas always had problems with load factors on the route (in fact at $2400 return I often enjoyed flying business except when the SPs where on the route).

only from sydney?
Yep, Brisbane remains. The Tourism Qld site gives some more info:

"Brisbane will soon become the sole Australian arrival port for EVA Air. Tourism Queensland understands that EVA Air plans to withdraw its Taipei-Sydney flights from 26 March and the existing codeshare agreement with Qantas on the Sydney route will switch to Brisbane. Brisbane will continue to receive three return flights per week, making it the only Australian destination for EVA Air flights from Taipei."
