Europe 2025 - Greece, Croatia, Spain, Morocco and Portugal

Travelled from Erfoud to Fes over the High and Mid Atlas mountains.

Amazing scenery, Vis Valley and the High Atlas were pretty unique.

Did the tourist trails in Fes, Ceramics, leather, tannery and markets etc.

And had a Fes chicken pastilla pie in the Mdina for dinner. Think savoury roll, with chicken, more spices and a touch of sweetness altogether. Tasty

Then travelled from Fes to Tangier, repositioning for the next days ferry back to Spain

The lion is a symbol of Morocco, last seen in something like 1941. This was a statue in Ifrane

We left Tangier after just a quick overnight stop and back to Tanger med for the DFDS ferry back to Algeciras.

We had a bus pass (from processing point to ferry) on the ferry named Kattegat, which I thought nothing more of until delays started, and ended up looking at marinetraffic dot com to see where it was.....just leaving Spain, so we thought a 1hr delay would turn to 4hrs!

About 15minutes later somebody pointed out the ferry boarding bass was the Tangier Express, which had just arrived. Who would have thought to have 2 different boarding passes for the bus and a separate vessel!

So an hour and a bit late we were off. Goodbye Morocco

Had a great view of Gibraltar (the non rock side) on the way back to Algeciras, as well as being accompanied by a large pod of Gibraltab dolphins and baby pups :).

An uneventfully evening arrival into Seville, 10hrs after leaving Tangier

A basic travelling day
