Hi,

I'm looking to book a trip to Europe around November this year, taking advantage of the sale they have atm.

If I book on the Etihad page, trips from AUH to SYD on VA metal, will I be earning the 1 point/status per mile, or will it be on VA earning rates .. a pitiful 0.25-0.5 points a mile?

Also, I would like to try both airlines, but can anyone recommend which is better for long haul in Y? Should I book both AUH to SYD return on VA, or just one leg?

One last thing... does anyone have any issues trying to book codeshare flights on the EY webpage around November? It just doesn't seem to load for me, might need to try the call center.

Cheers folks.

If booking in whY, I would choose the EY code for the better earn rate. I'm personally v happy with VA, and EY are supposed to be great (though that's not through personal experience, just hearsay).

But if I book on EY, but fly a VA aircraft, will I be earning VA or EY earning rates?
