Received below email this morning indicating EY are introducing new enhancements to each of the 3 travel classes. Big plus is Loungewear and mattress for J!

Dear Alex,
As the World’s Leading Airline*, we are committed to making sure that every time you fly with us, your journey is truly remarkable. So we are delighted to announce that from 1 December 2014, we will begin the introduction of some exciting enhancements across our fleet.

FIRST CLASS

We’ve elevated First Class to new heights, drawing on the best hotels and fine dining restaurants to create a luxurious experience for the discerning traveler. An elegant reception service welcomes you whilst you settle into your First Class Suite. Our new throw blanket and cushion have been designed to create a sense of your home away from home. Our fine dining menu includes new canapés, a pre-dessert course and signature cognac service. Dine at your private table dressed with an elegant range of fine bone chinaware from Nikko Japan, with ‘Royal Oak’ cutlery from Studio William and crystal glassware from Lucaris. For more details,
BUSINESS CLASS

Whether you want to work, sleep or just unwind, our Business Class experience has been designed to give you even greater levels of comfort and choice. Guests travelling with us on our longer flights will enjoy a turndown service featuring a mattress, loungewear and slippers. When you’re ready, select from our Dine Anytime menu inspired by upmarket bistros with a new ‘All Day’ menu introduced on longer flights. This restaurant inspired experience continues with a contemporary range of bone china, full-sized glassware and cutlery inspired by the shapes and textures of our home, Abu Dhabi. For more details,

ECONOMY CLASS
We understand that when you travel, comfort is important to you. Which is why in Economy Class, we have introduced new elements that will help make your journey a more relaxing one. Step onboard and you’ll notice we’ve refreshed our cabins with a new range of pillows and blankets.
On our longer flights, we’ve designed a unique pillow that converts easily from a standard pillow to a neck pillow to help you sleep. We’ve also introduced a blanket bag that doubles up as convenient tidy bag to store your personal belongings on longer flights. Combined with our new amenity kits and our enhanced food and beverage offering, we’re re-thinking the small things that we know make a difference to the way you fly.

Seems there are a few more PJs to add to the collection.

I just noticed my upcoming AUH-JNB is operated by a Jet Airways aircraft . I'm hoping it will still run an EY soft product.

Just flew back to MEL with EY in J - no mattress, PJs or any other apparent change in the soft product. Reading the email again, it said they "will begin the introduction" of these changes on 1 Dec, so perhaps it will take a while to roll them out across all flights.

Flying from Thursday - Monday on long haul flights so I will let you know. I certainly hope so because Abu Dhabi to Brisbane is a long trip with the stopover in Singapore.

Just arrived in AUH tonight on EY42 from DUB... Everything mentioned in the text was there, but it felt much the same as previous EY flights, so a very 'soft' change.

Has anyone received PJs in J since this came in? And what is in the definition of longer flights (for example does AUH-PER count)?

I have looked around online and can't seem to find any recent references to PJs on EY J.

Yes, already accumulating a collection of these, J and F PJs are different too.. They don't always hand them out so don't be afraid to ask

I've flown PER-AUH or vv in J 5 times this year and no PJs on any flight. Asked on one and was told it was too short.

Yes I flew AUH-PER on Friday night and also no PJs as it was too short. Didn't realise an 11 hour overnight flight was not considered long-haul. I've received them in J on QR on daytime flights much shorter than that.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Very disappointing to hear an 11 hour o/n flight is too short for J enhancements ! I am an EY patron and this is just not good enough Etihad !

AUH - PER about 4 weeks ago and no PJs in J. I asked. Was told EY don't do J PJs, only F. Having said that, hands down, the best J experience I've had. The hard product on the A330 on that sector is amazing. Soft product amazing too.
