ETIHAD points - why does it take four to six weeks to post to Velocity?

You'd think from the point the claim was made. If it hasn't posted, it wouldn't make sense to count from the flight date. The retro process kicks off when you make the ckaim.

Actually I would think that the retro process kicks off when the claim is received and acknowledged as actually being received. With the web site online claim tool seemingly not being reliable, and with people being referred to and reverting to sending emails to claims@velocity or silver/gold/plat claims email adresess then without an acknowledgement people are guessing as to the timeframe for retro & missing points claims.

Clearly there is a problem if 11 people on the same flights who all provided their velocity numbers and many other people in this thread and other threads need to lodge retro claims for flights with "partner airlines" that are supposed to credit in up to 9 days after the flights. The time it also takes for a retro claim in this day and age of computers must mean there a huge pile of retro claims to sort through manually as even assisting this process by sending copies of boarding passes and E-tickets does not seem to speed the process up. With all respect I am sure there is a number of people on the forum that could implement or recomend a better solution to speed up the process or even fix the problem that there must be. I will also that this issue has been going on for a number of years and mainly seems to be from international flights from my expeience.
