Etihad MEL to Europe $3500 - $4200 rtn J.

Would depend on my situation I guess. If I was retired and had a European holiday house to go to? Absolutely, no real risk there. If I was going to spend thousands more on accommodation and a holiday that travel insurance won't help with? Not with a 10 foot pole.

Athens 3500 London 4200 Paris 4200 etc
Throughout April May. 2026
If you would take the risk.....
There’s flights ex SYD also.

Looking at ITA, there are plenty of open jaw combos mid $3ks (if you include ATH or IST). SYD/MEL-LHR//ATH-SYD ~$3525, ex MXP $3993, ex AMS $4037.

They also have some good Economy fares to Italy and Spain departing Sydney in October and November. Who knows what the region will look like by then - not sure if I'd be willing to take the risk.

Just goes to show the prices before the ‘Australia tax’… often $4000+++

Although the good thing is that it makes QF competitive.
